I didn't even know about it because I wasn't researching Earthbound/Mother enough. I might go to you for advice when I need it since I had to research quite a bit just to find out what Rope's (Earthbound Beginnings) only attack was.
Speaking of which, I plan to create a stage based on Reindeer. The appearance shall be the same as sprites were drawn in EBB, and three enemies will frequent the stage, exactly as they appeared in the original game.
- Crow (Picks up items on the ground, and will steal items from fighters while also stunning them for a bit.)
- Psycho Car (Charges across the stage, with high knockback until it crashes into the tallest building.)
- Lil' Saucer (Hovers over the stage sometimes, using PSI Thunder directly below it to deal decent damage.)
I did some research; Rope's only attack that I knew of was... Well, "Rope." It's an attack that "ties up" a party member, making them unable to move. It seems useless, but they always pop up with Fugitives, right? But thank you!
Also, I'm horrible at writing trophy descriptions that way Smash 4 does. Could you help me with some?
The way Smash 4 writes them usually incorporates clever humor while giving fact, which I usually can't think up, such as the 1-Up Mushroom:
"Eating one of these mushrooms will add another you. "1-Up." Even just saying it aloud feels so right. "Was getting more 1-Ups and increasing the number of us the adventure's ultimate objective?" All the Marios got together and discussed this theory. The end."
Anywho, there's one trophy I've made much progess on that was an outcome of all the research done on Earthbound, since they literally NEVER get any trophies aside from what we already know. Lil' Saucer's current desciption is:
"Who forgot to put their dinner plate in the sink?! Oh wait, it's just a Lil' Saucer. Lil' Saucers, like Ninten and Ana, are capable of using PSI, and if they're in groups, they'll keep using support PSI on eachother and crack down on defense. In Reindeer, they will use PSI Thunder to bring down a powerful bolt of lightning straight below them. There are also Omega Saucers, which are as big as a manhole."
I feel that this could be more humorous, but maybe shorten it, mainly around how they use Defense PSI.
While I can't think of a way to add more humor, I can shorten the description a little:
"Who forgot to put their dinner plate in the sink?! Oh wait, it's just a Lil' Saucer. Lil' Saucers, like Ninten and Ana, are capable of using PSI. If they're in groups, they'll keep using support PSI on each other to increase their defense. They can also use PSI Thunder to bring down a powerful bolt of lightning!"
It was sooooo kool! Kalamity was kaused in the kreation of a new karakter! Anywho, A problem with the game is obviously a sprite artist is needed. I've been trying, but this always seems to be the biggest issue we usually face when trying to make a game. Any suggestions?
I don't really want to ask around until we have a good bit of the game programmed. Do you have any ideas for new franchises to introduce, because every newcomer I've thought of is part of a pre-existing franchise. In the meantime, here is a concept trophy for "Level 1-1," using SSBWU's trophy base.
Shovel Knight I could see, but the others not so much, especially The Impossible Quiz. I kinda want to stray from indie games a bit, because there's a crapton and we'd get a lot of requests for certain characters
I haven't done FTS for a while, but more on that later. Could any of you set me up with, say, multiple pixelated images of FTS characters? It would help me a lot, I wouldn't be flying completely blind. Thanks!
P.S: I haven't been doing FTS lately because I've been learning to use unity, which if you don't know is a game creation tool. I'm actually going to try to make FTS a video game. I'm still new so expect a release time of over 9000 years.
